Xue Wu Obituary, Death – A local man, age 24, has been charged with first-degree murder after reportedly killing his landlord, age 50-year-old Xue Feng Wu, by striking him in the head with a small axe at his rental home on West Main Road on Monday. According to the police, the incident occurred at the rental property on West Main Road. During the suspect’s brief arraignment in the 2nd Division District Court in Newport late Tuesday morning, the judge ordered him to be jailed without bail.

On the other hand, during a press conference that took place on Tuesday afternoon at the police station, Police Chief Brian Peters refused to speculate on a possible reason. On Monday night, there was only one tragedy that took place. A tragic crash involving a single car occurred on Indian Avenue at the same time that police were investigating the homicide. The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. Claudia Bell, 69, a resident of Middletown, passed away as a result of the injuries she sustained when her vehicle collided with a tree on Indian Avenue.

The suspect’s name is Jacob Morrill, and he is 24 years old. Wu was his landlord at the two-bedroom residence located at 1722 West Main Road. There was no entry of a plea. 2016 was the year that Portsmouth saw its most recent homicide incident. According to the documents filed with the court, the two men were involved in a dispute regarding their renting agreement, and an eviction hearing was due to take place on Monday.
