Willow Glen High School Shooting – According to the San Jose Police Department, law enforcement units have been dispatched to the Willow Glen High School campus in San Jose after receiving information that a student may be carrying a firearm on school property. A student was taken into custody by two school resource officers following a brief foot pursuit, and according to the police, a loaded fake gun was discovered on his person.
“Thanks to the prompt actions of these on-campus School Resource Offices, this gun was seized, and possibly prevented a tragic event from occurring,” the police wrote on Twitter. “Thanks to the quick actions of these on-campus School Resource Offices.” According to the San Jose Police Department (SJPD), on Wednesday, San Jose police arrested a student who was equipped with a gun and a knife on the campus of Willow Glen High School.
According to the police, units responded to a report of a student carrying a firearm on campus in the 2000 block of Cottle Avenue just before noon. The location of the incident was on campus. The teenager was apprehended after being pursued by two school resource officers who eventually caught up with them. According to the authorities, they were able to seize and confiscate a loaded replica gun that was located in the student’s hands.
