Willie Cameron Obituary, Former Penilee And Paisley Basketball Player – Death Cause
Willie Cameron Obituary, Death – Willie Cameron was a previous player for both Penilee and Paisley, and it came as a shock and a source of sadness when we learned that he had left for good over the weekend. He has been a member of both of those teams in the past. at the late 1960s and early 1970s, Willie was a member of the Penilee basketball team. It was at this time that the team decided to change its name to the Paisley Panthers. Additionally, during this time period, Willie participated in basketball competitions.
In recent years, he has likely been more well-known for his coaching of the Glasgow City basketball club, which participates in the British Basketball League. His team has had success in recent seasons. Later on, quite a few years later, his son Alisdair, who had also been a player for us during that time period, finally took over for him in that position. Alisdair had played for us during that time era. In addition to becoming one of the first persons to be inducted into the basketballscotland Hall of Fame the previous year, Willie was also honored with an award for lifetime achievement at the Glasgow Sport Awards. This honor comes on the heels of Willie becoming one of the first people to be inducted into the basketballscotland Hall of Fame.
After being inducted as one of the first people, he was then given this honour shortly thereafter. Willie will have definitely made a difference for the better in the lives of a very large number of individuals, and the loss of his involvement in the Scottish sporting community will be a big blow. During this trying time, Alisdair and the rest of the Cameron family will be remembered in our thoughts and prayers along with the rest of the community. I pray that God may bestow upon you the peace that your heart so desperately requires.
