Will Bryant Obituary, Death – Today marks the end of the Shiva period of fasting that I have been observing. The weeklong period of mourning began when the news of the untimely passing of a friend, Will Bryant, was brought to everyone’s attention. This is a tough time for me because of the interactions I had with him in both my personal and professional life, just as it is for everyone else who knew him and was affected by his passing.

This is true for both my work and personal lives at the same time. He handled himself with elegance and authority while making his presence known in many of my circles, and he contributed generously and selflessly to the charity organizations and activities that I am a supporter of. People who knew us when we were together, such as friends and coworkers, are aware that after seeing us together things will never be the same again.

This includes the way things will look and how things will work. The fact that he wasn’t there to participate in the breakfast meetings, the preparations for the freedom soirée, the fellowship with the friends during the week, the piano organ at Altavista Baptist Church, on which his fingers had mastered the coordinated strokes in order to sing praises to the Lord on Sundays, the festivities during the summer…

ll of these things were made more difficult by the fact that he wasn’t there to participate in them. Let us remember his immediate family in our thoughts and prayers as they struggle to come to terms with the loss that they have suffered at this trying time. They are working to come to terms with the loss that they have endured.
