Theresa McDonald Obituary, Death – She called Free Street in Rumford, Connecticut, her home. She was the daughter of Camille and Hattie (Gagnon) Ross and was born on August 22, 1919 in Rumford, Maine. Her mother’s maiden name was Gagnon. She was a member of the graduating class of 1939 from Stephens High School in Rumford. She worked at Chandler’s Men’s Clothing Store for 27 years while also working part-time at JC Penny’s. She especially enjoyed getting together with her grandchildren and great grandchildren on the weekends for get-togethers in the family.
She was a former member of St. Timothy Circle #504 Daughters of Isabella as well as a communicant of the Parish of the Holy Savior St. Athanasius St. John Church in which the church is located. On May 26th, 1941, she tied the knot with Harold J. McDonald in Rumford, Maine. Harold J. McDonald passed away on January 26th, 1998 in Lewiston, Maine. Surviving family members include a son named Robert McDonald and his wife named Lane, both of Rumford; daughters named Sharon Folland and her husband named Robert, also of Rumford, and Joanne Richard and her husband named Fern, of Lewiston; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Her husband Harold, as well as her brothers Ted, Sylvio, and Henry Ross, passed away before she did.
