Shirley Strassburg Obituary, Shirley Strassburg Has Passed Away – Death Cause

Shirley Strassburg Obituary, Death – Shirley M. Strassburg, age 75, passed away suddenly on May 19, 2023 at Theda Care Hospital in Neenah. She resided in Bowler. On July 11, 1947, in Clintonville, Wisconsin, Shirley Mae Klitz was brought into the world by her parents, Ruben and Beatrice (Cass) Klitz. On October 28, 1951, she was initiated into the kingdom of God through baptism, and on May 21, 1961, she was confirmed.

Shirley had a deep and abiding love for the Lord, and she made it a priority in her life to establish a robust faith in her children and husband, something of which she was incredibly pleased. She had a deep affection for Pastor Jen and the rest of her church family at both St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bowler and St. John’s Lutheran Church in Birnamwood, where she is a member at the present time. She was an active member of both congregations.

On June 25th, 1966, Shirley tied the knot with Kenneth Strassburg. Shirley was a wonderful wife. Ken and Shirley enjoyed spending time together going to get parts, fishing of all kinds (including at their Pelican Lake cottage and on their trips to Canada), going for Sunday drives, going on dates to Culvers and McDonald’s, watching Brewer Games and other sporting events, listening to and watching Polka music and Danny O’Donnell, and going to Friday fish fries with their friends. Shirley was an incredible wife.

Shirley was an incredible mother to Wendy Schweighardt (husband Steve, sons Noah and Cody), Jeff Strassburg (wife Jeni, son Jacob and daughter Alyssa and special friend Dan), and Joel Strassburg (wife Amanda, and son Nathan and daughters Kylie, Naomi, Elsie, and Molly). You couldn’t talk to Shirley without talking about her children and grandchildren. She cherished the time she got to spend with her children and grandchildren, whether it was at a concert, a sporting event, or even on the farm.
