Savon Davis Obituary, Death – The victim of the shooting that took place in the Roseway Neighborhood has been identified as Savon Marquis Davis, who was 19 years old at the time of the incident. The Medical Examiner decided that his death was a homicide, and that a gunshot wound was the cause of death. The Medical Examiner also determined that the cause of death was a gunshot wound.
The victim had been injured. Because the suspect or suspects escaped the area, the authorities were unable to make any arrests in the immediate aftermath of the crime. In order to conduct an investigation into the incident, the Homicide Unit of the Portland Police Department was sent to the location. During the on-scene investigation, Northeast 82nd Avenue was restricted to all traffic between North Fremont Street and Northeast Beech Street for roughly five hours; however, it is now again open to traffic in that area.
The Davis family has been made aware of the demise of their loved one and requests that they be allowed some privacy during this difficult time. One person was fatally injured and another was killed as a consequence of a gunshot that took place in the Roseway Neighborhood. On the evening of Friday, May 19, 2023, at about 11:18 p.m., officers from the North Precinct were dispatched to the 3500 block of Northeast 82nd Avenue after receiving a report that shots had been fired in the surrounding neighborhood. They found a victim who had been injured laying in the road when they arrived.
The investigation took place between North Fremont Street and Northeast Beech Street.
