Roland had been ill, but as some of you may be aware, he was still able to contribute to the organization of the fantastic event that took place in Prague in June of last year.

Those who have worked with Roland will be aware of Roland’s strong views regarding the issue of utilities not properly controlling their water losses, and they will also know that Roland was not afraid to tell utilities of such!!  Roland leaves behind a legacy that is respected and treasured by all of his colleagues as a result of the fact that he produced or co-authored a number of books and guidance notes on a variety of aspects related to the management of water losses.
