Robert Lee Obituary, Death – Robert E. Lee, age 82, of Calvary, passed away in a calm and peaceful manner on May 18, 2023 at Baptist East Hospital. He was surrounded by his devoted family during his final moments. He was born in Lebanon, Kentucky on March 24, 1941 to the late Thomas Lee and Amy Lee, who have now passed away. Mr. Lee was a devoted family man who worked hard on the family farm. He was a proud husband, father, grandpa, and great-grandfather.
Theresa Bradshaw and Gertrude Mattingly were his two sisters who passed away before him. His parents also passed away before him. Surviving family members include his devoted wife, Iona Lee of Calvary; his daughter, Mindy (Glen) Hamilton of Calvary; his two sons, Richie (Cathy) Lee and Scott Lee, both of Calvary; five siblings, Imelda (Joe) Smith of Georgia, Janie (Jerry) Lanham of Lebanon, Susie (Joe) Williams of Louisville, Tommy (Sue) Lee of Lebanon, Addie Hill of Louisville
Visitation will be held at Bosley Funeral Home on Sunday, May 21, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., followed by a prayer service at 7:00 p.m., which will be performed by Deacon Joe Dant. At Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church on Monday, May 22, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., there will be a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated for the deceased. The funeral will be followed by the interment at the church cemetery. Cameron Lee, John Lee, Evan Lee, Stevie Lee, Ted Bray, and Rusty Bray will serve as the pallbearers at this event.Sam Mattingly, Tommy Phillips, Larry Lee, Terry Graves, Terry Lee, and Eddie Lee will serve as honorary pallbearers at the funeral service.
