Richard Atkinson Obituary, Death – Even though we are inconsolably upset by the news, we are thrilled to be able to share the news that Richard Atkinson passed away last week. Richard was a beloved member of our Music Hall family, and we are overjoyed to be able to share the news of his passing. We were blessed to have Richard and his wife Lois, who both sadly died away earlier this year, as volunteers in our usher program for the preceding 25 years or more. Richard and Lois both passed away earlier this year. Richard left us in January of this year after a courageous battle with cancer. Richard’s wife Lois passed away at an earlier point in this year than she had in previous years.

If you came to one of our performances, the Atkinson family most likely showed you to your seats while exuding a friendly and approachable personality as they did so. 1998 was the year that both of them had their first encounter with one another, and it took place at the Music Hall, where they were both working as volunteers. In the end, they came to the conclusion that they should get married after some time had passed. We owe William Tuthill a debt of gratitude for providing us with a copy of this photograph, which includes Jack Hurley and was taken at their wedding.

William Tuthill was the one who took the picture. The Atkinson family, who are going through a difficult time, are in everyone’s thoughts and prayers at Bible Gateway as they go through this difficult period. In spite of the grief we are experiencing, we would want to take this time to express our gratitude to Richard and Lois for being such a rock of support for all of us here at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall. Richard, your presence is going to be much missed by all of us. I pray that God may bestow upon you the peace that your heart so desperately requires.
