Rhodana Morgans Obituary, Death – On Saturday, May 20, visitation will begin at 12:30 pm, and the funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm. Both of her sons, Gary and Doug, will preside the service, which will take place at The Refuge Church (now situated at Liberty Hills Bible Church), which can be found at 1315 Nashua Road in Liberty, Missouri. After the service, burial will take place at Glenridge Cemetery.

Surviving members of her family and friends include her husband of 69 years, Rev. John H. Morgans; her children, Rev. Gary R. Morgans (Teresa), Diana Snider (Donald deceased), and Rev. Douglas J. Morgans (Mae); her daughters-in-law, Barbara Morgans, Rita Decker, and Lynn Morgans; 23 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and other members of her extended family and friends.

Rhodana Mae Morgans, age 89, passed away on May 13, 2023, at her home in Liberty, Missouri, with her family at her side. She was able to spend her final moments with the Lord there. Rhodana Sutherland was born on February 23, 1934 in Inola, Oklahoma. Her parents were Shelby K. Sutherland and Hazel (Shaw), and she was their daughter.

In 1979, a church structure was constructed in Liberty at 1315 Nashua Road, and Rhodana continued to serve as a committed pastor’s wife up until her husband’s retirement in 2009. Rhodana was preceded in death by three members of her immediate family: her parents, a son named Rev. Bobby Dean Morgans, and two brothers named Leon and Ladon Sutherland.

After graduating from Inola High School, she continued her education at the Apostolic Bible College in Tulsa, Oklahoma. On the sixteenth of January in 1954, she exchanged vows of matrimony with John Henry Morgans, and the couple went on to have four children together. After relocating his family to Liberty, Missouri, in 1971, John opened the United Pentecostal Church in the family’s previous residence.
