Ray Austin Obituary, Death – Ray Austin, who was known for his work as an actor, director, novelist, and stunt performer, passed away on May 17, 2023. He was 90 years old. The comedy-drama “Fun and Games” (also known as “1,000 Convicts and a Woman”), which he directed in 1971 and starred Alexandra Hay in the lead role, is one of his many directorial credits. When I started my study on Alexandra Hay in 2018, I contacted Ray Austin for the first time by writing to him.

A few years later, I interviewed him for my book. He was quite forthcoming with the information that he provided, which included specifics of the pre-production, production, and post-production stages of the film. He had more mental acuity and physical vitality than somebody who was only half his age. Ray Austin looked back on his time directing Alexandra Hay with fondness. He said that she was as valuable as gold. “She was as good as gold,” he observed.

I had quite a few inquiries regarding Alexandra, and he was pleased to answer all of them for me to the best of his ability. I am so appreciative that he was able to assist me with the tale about Alexandra. His recollections will provide me with a wealth of material for the section of my book that is dedicated to this film, as well as for any other endeavors that I want to undertake that are connected to this picture.
