Phyllis Coltrane Obituary, Death – Phyllis Coe Coltrane had lived a long life and was 79 years old when she passed away. The 19th of May, 2023 found her passing in the UNC Chapel Hill Hospital despite the fact that she had been a resident of Eden, North Carolina. On the afternoon of Monday, May 22, 2023, at 2:00 o’clock, there will be a memorial service performed in honor of the deceased at the Boone and Cooke Funeral Home. The couple’s daughter’s paternal grandparents, Jesse Arlendo Coe and Mildred Stutt Coe, had both passed away before their granddaughter was born. She worked at Jerry’s Restaurant for a number of years, and throughout that time she held the position of cashier there. She was there for a significant chunk of her working life.
She was a devoted member of the Charity Baptist Church, and she never missed a service when they were held at that site. She also never missed a Sunday school class. She is survived by her children, daughters Diane Woods and husband Richie of Eden, Lorie Younger and husband Jerry of Stoneville, Kathy Stratton and husband Jerry of Eden, and Donna Swift and husband Jamie of Eden; her daughter-in-law Kenneth Randall Corum of Eden; her sister Nancy Stanley of Greensboro; and her grandchildren Christopher Ray Draughn and wife Kristi, Brandi Draughn Beville and husband Charlie, and Braxton Draughn. She is also survived by her sister. In addition, she will be leaving behind her daughter-in-law, Shane Seagraves, as well as her granddaughter, Allyn Dale Young.
