Phyllis Allen Obituary, Death – Phyllis Diane Arnold Allen, age 65 and a resident of Anderson, South Carolina, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2023. She was laid to rest in Anderson. On March 27, 1958, she was born in Anderson to her late parents, the late Roger Arnold and the late Edna Arnold, both of whom have now died away. Her parents have both since passed away. Her daughter Wendey Hawkins, her grandson Baby George, as well as her brothers Dale and Duane Arnold, all passed away before she did. Also preceding her in death were other members of her family.
Phyllis worked as a dental assistant for 25 years before to making the switch to being a co-owner of and helping to operate A Moment ‘n’ Tyme Photography with her husband. Before retirement, she helped run the business. Phyllis attended the Greenville branch of the Tremont Church of God and was a devoted member of the congregation there. She was involved in Christian mission work on a local as well as a worldwide scale, and she did so in order to spread the love that Christ has given her to other people. She had a special place in her heart for the elderly, and she was always willing to provide a helping hand to those in need. Phyllis was the kind of person who never encountered an unfamiliar face and always made time for a meaningful exchange of ideas with others.
The hobbies that Phyllis enjoyed most were spending time with her family while camping and doting on her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Bobby Allen, Jr.; sons, Roger Hawkins (and his wife Bonnie), Justin Mawyer (and his wife Jessie), Adam Mawyer (and his wife Brandi), and Brock Allen; 6 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter, Bryanna, Drake, Kaylee, Cheyenne, Stetson, Jack, and Kashton; and 6 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her husband, Bobby Allen, Sr.
