Phillip Hockey Obituary, Death – The Sunshine YCW Cricket Club is in a state of profound disbelief and mourning following the untimely passing of beloved Life Member and club icon Phillip Hockey. Phillip has been a member of the club for a very long time. In addition to holding a wide variety of jobs all throughout the cricket club, Phillip was a premiership player, the club’s scorer, and the curator. He also held a number of other positions. He made a tremendous impact on the club’s foundation and ethos.
Because of the infectious nature of his personality, he rose to prominence as one of the club’s most beloved members very quickly. His family was his primary focus, and he and his father, Reg, who is one of only two individuals who have ever been accepted into the Sports Club’s Hall of Fame, put in a lot of hours to help strengthen the organization. Reg is one of only two people who have ever been elected into the Sports Club’s Hall of Fame. During the period that he was actively competing, he had the opportunity to go up against his brother Brendan as well as his nephews Brent and Nicholas Triplett.
In addition, he was able to do so alongside other family members. He leaves behind an important legacy, and on behalf of the entire committee and the members, we would like to send our love and condolences to Reg, Glenis, Julie, Peter, Damian, Jan, Sue, and Brendan, in addition to Brent and Nicholas and the entire extended Hockey family. He leaves behind an important legacy. The legacy that he leaves behind is quite remarkable. Phil was a tremendous club legend who would be mourned deeply and keenly by everyone who frequented that establishment.
