Peter Kerr Obituary, Learn About Peter Kerr Death

Peter Kerr Obituary, Death – Peter Kerr, of Owenriff Park, Oughterard, and formerly of Ballycastle, County Antrim, passed away unexpectedly as a result of a tragic accident. It is with deep regret that we share this news with the rest of our community. Pete, who was known for his devotion to his family and involvement in a wide variety of community organizations, died away unexpectedly but in peace as he was surrounded by his beloved family.

Sincerity, gentleness, and friendliness were hallmarks of his demeanor, and he was always up for a good laugh and a conversation. He was well-liked for all of these qualities. Peter’s sharp wit and impressive intelligence won him the affection and respect of everyone who was fortunate enough to know him. His unanticipated passing has created a vacuum in the lives of those who knew him, and he will be much missed by those individuals.

Peter was a member of the committee for the Corribdale Grounds, he taught young people how to program using Scratch in cooperation with the Youth Club and Clann Resource, and he fervently advocated for a footbridge to be built in the village for a number of years. A man who led an active lifestyle and had a passion for the natural world and the great outdoors, he enjoyed activities such as kayaking and kitesurfing.

He also liked competing in local races such as the parkrun, jog the bog, and mayfly 10k, and he was always prepared to offer his time when asked. He had just lately become a member of a group that was working in Oughterard to establish a Community First Responders’ unit. In place of sending flowers, those who wish to do so may, instead, make contributions in his name to the Oughterard Community First Responders.
