Michelle Schreck Obituary, Death – A short time after leaving the Air Force, Michelle Schreck, who had previously served as a handler in the military, passed away after a courageous fight against cancer. I pray that she finds eternal rest. There is a picture of her with MWD Kay that was taken. We are grateful for the service you provided and wish you the very best. Michele M. Schreck, age 54, of Chicago, Illinois, died away in a calm and tranquil manner on February 28, 2023.
She was surrounded by the affection of her family at the time of her passing. McHenry, Illinois was the location of her birth on December 19, 1968. Her children Chris Schreck (Brittany), Ellie Schreck (Christopher Galvin), Ciara Jackson, and Mercedes Jackson; her grandchildren Olivia, Colette, Luke, and Lorenzo; her mother Dorothy Gowin; her siblings Frank Gowin, Gloria Gowin, Diane Gowin, and Joe Gowin; as well as a large number of nieces and nephews survive her.
Her mother, Mary Gowin, her father, Roy Gowin, and her brother, Mark Gowin, passed away before she did. The Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Plainfield on Friday, March 10, at 11:00 AM. The church is located at 15629 S. Route 59. Plainfield’s Overman-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services was given the responsibility of making funeral arrangements.
