Michael Remus Obituary, Death – On Monday, there was a deadly car accident that occurred just east of Dallas Center. The incident took place. The person who passed away was a man. A short distance to the east of Dallas Center is where the event took place. The information that was provided by the Iowa State Patrol indicates that the collision took place on Highway 44 at approximately 9:46 in the morning.
When the collision took place, Michael Remus, who was 69 years old at the time, was behind the wheel of a pickup truck. Michael Remus is a local boy, having grown up in the town of Grimes. A moment or two prior to the crash, he had slowed down or perhaps come to a complete stop in order to give space to other motorists that were making turns. It appears that a concrete mixer rear-ended his pickup truck. The damage appears to be extensive.
Even though first responders attempted to use a defibrillator on Remus and began conducting cardiopulmonary resuscitation on him, it was determined that he had passed away at the scene of the accident and a death certificate was filed accordingly. Despite this, the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office reports that these attempts were fruitless.
The man who was operating the vehicle at the time of the collision was the driver of the concrete truck. He was working at the time and did not get any injuries as a result of his job. The Iowa State Patrol has not ceased their investigation into the incident that they have been investigating; in fact, they are continuing their investigation at this time.
