Michael Hagen Obituary, Death – Michael Hagen has died. Devoted father of Samuel, Harrison, and Nolan Hagen; loving son of Barbara and the late Donald Hagen; dear brother of Colleen Hagen, Sara (Raymond) Siminski, and the late Steven Hagen; also survived by a large number of other family members and friends. Samuel, Harrison, and Nolan Hagen were the lights of his life. Michael attended the University of Tennessee in Martin for his undergraduate education and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree.
He obtained his degrees in loans, commercial banking, and administration from Louisiana State University, Memphis State University, and Vanderbilt University respectively. Michael had a prosperous banking career with People’s Bank, Paducah Bank, First National Bank in Metropolis, Banterra Bank, and Independence Bank before retiring as President and CEO of Reelfoot Bank in Union City, Tennessee. Prior to that, Michael was President and CEO of Independence Bank. Michael is a previous president of the McCracken County Red Cross Board and the Lone Oak Elementary PTO.
He was also a member of the Fulton Rotary Club and the Fulton/South Fulton Chamber of Commerce in the past. He is also an alumni member of Leadership Paducah. Michael was quite active in his Professional Bankers Association, serving in a variety of roles. Michael was a part of the Lone Oak Lions Club for many years and even held the presidency for two of those years. Michael was a member of numerous professional and civic organizations, but he still had time to spend with his family and, in particular, his grandchildren. He had a passion for toy trains and enjoyed drag racing with his son and brother Ricky. He was a passionate collector of miniature trains.
