Meredith Polansky Obituary, Death – Dear OD Family, Sadly, I have to tell you that our dear Dr. Meredith Polansky has passed away after a long and courageous struggle with cancer. On a Saturday afternoon, she passed away while in the company of her devoted life partner Damien, family, and friends. Meredith was a powerful force in the world. She was dedicated to her work as a doctor and also to gardening, the environment, travel, and her relationship with her partner Damien. She was a founding owner of Our Family Doctor and shared our vision of creating a medical practice based on providing superior and individualized care. We all know how much her many patients will miss her extraordinary level of care and compassion.
She was the “ying” to my “yang” in our corporate partnership at OFD, contributing astute financial judgment and a fresh perspective to our medical practice. We placed the needs of our personnel and patients first and worked effectively together, embracing a culture of cooperation and compromise in the management of the practice. Despite the fact that Meredith’s life was cut far too short, she accomplished more in her short time on Earth than many people accomplish in a lifetime.
She saw more of the world, loved more deeply, and gave more to those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of outstanding medical care and the powerful message that we should all make the most of every moment and never take anything for granted.
