Mary Goulding Car Accident, Tall Ferns Basketballer Admitted To ICU After Car Crash
Mary Goulding Car Accident – After being involved in a car accident early on Saturday morning in Canterbury, New Zealand, basketball player Mary Goulding is currently in the intensive care unit in a critical condition. The news was broken by The Tall Ferns on Saturday night via their various social media platforms, and they asked their followers to join them in sending positive thoughts, love, and prayers to Goulding and her family.
The 26-year-old forward, who has played all over the world, and who has made nine appearances for the Tall Ferns since she made her debut in 2019 received well-wishes from a number of different teams, all of which joined in offering their best to her. After two vehicles crashed at the intersection of Blackett and Durham Streets in Rangiora at 9:05 a.m. on Saturday, Christchurch police were called to the scene of a significant crash in Rangiora to investigate the incident.
Goulding was born in Rangiora and reared there as well. He played for the Canterbury Wildcats in 2014 and 2015 before moving to the United States to begin his college career. In addition to her time spent playing basketball in Sweden, she has also competed in Australia, and in the year before, she was a key player for the Mainland Poukai in the first season of the Tauihi Basketball Aotearoa competition.
Goulding had just recently returned to full fitness after tearing her Achilles tendon during that national competition in August of the previous year.
