Jimmy Litz Obituary, Death – We are writing to inform you of the demise of Galax Police Department Retired Sergeant J.A. “Jimmy” Litz. He was known to many as Jimmy. This information is brought to you with a great deal of regret on our part. Sgt. Litz started his career in law enforcement on May 15, 1979, which was also the first day of his employment in that capacity. He took the decision to retire after 29 years of actively serving the community in a variety of capacities.
