Jesse Dylan Campbell Obituary, Death – Jesse Dylan Campbell, age 19, died away without suffering on Friday, May 19, 2023, at the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia. He was surrounded by his dedicated and loving mother, grandparents, and other family members at the time of his passing. Jesse was a premature infant who weighed only 1 pound and 9 ounces when he was delivered on January 30, 2004, in Lynchburg, Virginia.
He has triumphed through a great deal of adversity over the course of his life, but he has managed to do it while maintaining an infectious sense of humor and a beaming smile on his face. Jesse is a member of the Class of 2022 at Nelson County High School, and he is presently pursuing a degree in autism studies at the Virginia Institute of Autism in Charlottesville, Virginia. Jesse looked forward to waking up early and passing the time while he waited for his vehicle to take him to school. Jesse had a lot of affection for both his educational institution and the people who worked there.
Jesse enjoyed spending time with his family, particularly his mother, his mother’s parents, and his grandparents. Some of Jesse’s favorite activities included going on long drives with his family, going to the zoo, watching the ducks at Lake Nelson, watching trains go under the bridge in Oak Ridge, and going to visit family. Jesse never ventured out very far without one or both of his iPads. Jesse possessed a high level of intelligence and had no trouble navigating his way around an iPad. He enjoyed listening to loud music and recording birthday parties on tape so he could view them again later. He was a big fan of watching videos on YouTube.
Jesse displayed his love for his family in a variety of ways, including giving beautiful small kisses, large embraces, high fives, fist bumps, and saying “I Love You” in a “Jesse style.” Jesse loved his family very dearly. Although Jesse was a young man of few words, he had a profound impact on the lives and hearts of a great number of individuals. Anne Marie Tyree, Jesse’s dedicated and caring mother, is the only family member he leaves behind. His maternal grandparents, G.P. and Barbara Tyree, were very caring and devoted to him. His Aunt Jennifer Tyree Fitzgerald, Uncle Mike Fitzgerald, and cousins Brianna (B) Fitzgerald, Michael Fitzgerald and Caitlin Blakeslee. Cousins Steven Tyree, Joey Tyree, and Nikki Tyree, along with their uncle George Preston Tyree, Ill.
