Jeremy Clarke was one of my favorite actors and I will miss him terribly. It was a sensation that I had been having for a considerable amount of time at that point.
After I had done reading the essay that was assigned for this week, the reality of the situation struck me like a ton of bricks almost as soon as I had finished reading the essay. It was as if the essay had prepared me for the truth of the situation. It seemed as though the essay had been sitting there anticipating my completion of the reading it contained.
These revelations occurred after a string of recent weeks in which he chronicled the anguish and ‘battle’ he was engaged in against prostate cancer. After making these disclosures, he abruptly ceased writing in his column, which came after he made these admissions. Throughout his confessions, he detailed the ways in which he was working to fight the condition.
During the course of several weeks, he had kept a written record of the struggle he was having against the illness in an effort to get better. These words, which hold an incalculable quantity of love, joy, and sincerity, will never cease to be a cause of ignominy for as long as eternity itself exists.
