Jean Byars Obituary, Death – At the age of 76, BEVERLY JEAN BYARS, who had been a patient at Piedmont Hospital Augusta, died away on the evening of Sunday, May 21, 2023. Since the early hours of the day, she had been present there. Even though Jean Byars had been born in the neighboring county of Windsor, which is located in the state of South Carolina, she had spent her whole life in Aiken County. Before the birth of their daughter, both of her parents, John Byars and Inez Youngblood Byars, had already passed away. Their daughter was their only child. She was a member of both the Aiken Christian Church and the Windsor First Baptist Church, and she was able to attend services at both of those churches on a regular basis.
Her daughter Emma Thompson, who currently resides in Lexington, South Carolina, is one of the members of her family that has survived. She is also survived by her siblings, Wendell Byars of Aiken, Elspye Johnson of Montmorenci, Myra Ridgeway (Brook) of Aiken, and John Byars (Karen) of Windsor, in addition to a number of nieces, nephews, and relatives. Her siblings may be found in Aiken, Montmorenci, Aiken, and Windsor, respectively. Her parents were the first members of her family to pass away, followed by her brother Wayne Byars and her sister Mary Lou Byars Gray. She was the only surviving member of her immediate family. Her parents were the first members of her family to pass away before any of her other relatives.
On the evening of Friday, May 26, the family will be present at the Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home from six o’clock in the evening until eight o’clock in the evening to welcome those who are in attendance at the funeral service. The memorial service will commence at three o’clock on Saturday afternoon, May 27th, at the funeral home where the deceased will be laid to rest. The memorial service will be held in honor of the person who has passed away. When the funeral service is over, the burial will take place in the cemetery that is connected to the Windsor First Baptist Church. At the event, Pastor Keith Ussery will preside over the proceedings as the master of ceremonies.
