She tied the knot with Joe Louis McDonald there on October 31st, 1957, and the two started their new lives together as husband and wife shortly afterward. Because of their marriage, which led to the birth of two children, Jane and Joe are now the parents of a blended family that consists of a total of eight members. of Highland Park Hospital in Highland Park, Illinois, where she worked as a compassionate carer, Jane spent a total of four years working in the obstetrics and gynaecology (OB) ward of the hospital. She enjoyed providing care for her patients and often smiled when she thought back on the time she spent in the nursery tending to the newborns and breastfeeding them.
