Jacob Touchet Obituary, Death – Due to a collision that took place on the LA 101 close to Raoul Road Friday night about nine o’clock, two individuals were tragically taken from this world. There were three automobiles involved in the crash. According to Derek Senegal, a spokesperson for the Louisiana State Police, both Jacob R. Touchet, who was 67 years old and from Iowa, and Susan Dianne Trahan, who was 60 years old and from Lafayette, died as a consequence of the accident. Touchet was from Iowa, while Trahan was from Lafayette.
Despite the fact that both Touchet and Trahan were wearing helmets that had been approved by the DOT, they both succumbed to their injuries at the scene of the accident and were pronounced dead at the same time. Oxidology samples were taken from all three of the drivers, and then those samples were turned in for analysis. According to the statement made by the Local State Police, the investigation is still active at this time.
Touchet, who was allegedly driving a Harley-Davidson motorcycle while Trahan was travelling as a passenger on the bike, was allegedly heading south on LA 101 when they were allegedly struck by a car coming up behind them for reasons that are unknown. Touchet was allegedly operating the motorcycle while Trahan was going as a passenger on the motorcycle. Because of this, the two people were thrown from the motorcycle and into the lane of traffic heading north, where they were struck by another vehicle. Both of them were injured.
