Jack Runge Obituary, Death – We are saddened to tell you that Director Jack Runge has passed away; it is with a heavy heart that we have to convey this news with you. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Jack was a devoted family guy who devoted his entire life to making life better for the people who lived in the community in which he resided. A total of 37 of those years were spent by him as a firefighter for the Buckeye Fire Department, and the remaining 28 years were spent on the board of directors for the Midland Power Company.
Jack passed away in 1995, the year that was specified. During this trying time, we would like his family and friends to know that they are in our thoughts and prayers. We are thinking about and praying for you all. Please accept our condolences. Even though I did not take this image, I have very great memories of conversing with Jack in the Hall of Flame at the state fair several years ago. Even though I did not take this picture, I have very fond memories of chatting with Jack. However, I did not snap this particular photo myself. During the course of our conversation, I was utterly taken aback when Sparky the dog referred to me by my name on multiple occasions.
Once upon a time, I had a lovely conversation with Sparky the dog. I didn’t find out that Jack had been Sparky on that particular day until a very long time after the fact. Haha! During his whole time working at the REC, Jack had a reputation for being an attentive and committed director. In addition to this, he was careful and competent in his work. I have always valued his support for the cooperative over the years, whether he called me Sparky or Jack.
It doesn’t matter to me whatever name he used. The respectful exchanges that we’ve had throughout the years have always been something I look forward to. As they grieve the loss of their loved one, may God grant his family the peace and comfort they need, and may he also grant them the joy they need as they think about the wonderful impact he had on the lives of others.
