Harold McEntire Obituary, Death – Harold R. McEntire, a resident of Star City who had reached the age of 76 when he passed away on May 21, 2023, did so in the comfort of his own home. On April 14, 1947, he was born to his parents, Grady Lee McEntire and Susie Irene Seals McEntire, who are no longer with us. Both of his parents have since passed away. Harold was a member of the Baptist faith and worked in the construction industry.
He cherished them above all else. His grandkids did no wrong. They were the cause of his ultimate joy and contentment in life. Before their brother, Harold, two of his sisters, namely Sara Jane Owen and Mary Ann Funderburg, had already crossed over to the other side. Surviving family members include his wife, Martha Ratterree McEntire, of Star City; son, Kevin (Maranda) McEntire of White Hall; three grandchildren, Kamryn McEntire, Kel McEntire, and Bree McEntire, all of White Hall; brother, Robert (Evelyn) McEntire of Lonoke; sister, Patricia Bailey of White Hall; and many nieces and nephews who were so special to him, in addition to his cousins in Oklahoma.
He was involved in the building of a significant number of residences in Star City and the areas surrounding it, as well as their subsequent refurbishment. Harold’s best friend Mike Weast relied on him to be the go-to egg cooker, and he enjoyed the time he spent mowing the grass with his Grasshopper lawnmower. His grand fur babies, Kruz and Izzy, were the things that he loved most in the entire wide universe. However, the closest thing to his heart was his family.
