Gloria Gallant Obituary, Death – On November 17, 2021, Gloria M. (Erickson) Gallant, who had lived in Seabrook, New Hampshire previously and was 91 years old, passed away. She was the daughter of the late Myron P. and Neveda M. (Eilertson) Erickson and was born in Frost, Minnesota. She attended local schools in Kiester, Minnesota, where she was raised. During the time that the Korean War was going on, Gloria was a Corporal in the United States Army. She retired after working for New England Telephone and Telegraph, which later became known as Verizon, in the Directory Assistance department after a total of twenty-five years of service before taking her retirement.
Both the Mary, Mother of the Church Parish in Newton, New Hampshire, and the Telephone Pioneers of America counted Gloria as a member at one point. In addition to that, she was a member of the Kingston Veteran’s Club, the Kingston VFW Women’s Auxiliary, and the Kingston VFW. Her various interests included growing flowers and vegetables in her garden, as well as cooking, camping, and watching Western films. In addition, she enjoyed spending time with her family over the campfire at their vacation home in Ossipee, New Hampshire.
Her husband of forty-eight years, James Gallant, who passed away in the year 2000, her brother Elwood E. Erickson, and her sister Neva Fundarek all before her in death. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia L. Gallant of Seabrook, New Hampshire; a large number of nieces and nephews, in particular Eydie Mizzi and her husband, Wayne, together with their daughters Dayne and Haley; and a niece, Carrie Fundarek. Her daughter will mourn her passing and fondly remember her mother.
