Gary Block Obituary, Death – He was the son of the late Harold A. Block and Alice M. (Anderson) Block, who welcomed him into the world on April 6, 1937 in Manistee. Both of his parents had left this world by this point. The year that Gary graduated from Manistee High School in 1955 was the same year that his class received their diplomas. His wedding took place in June of 1957, and Kathleen Pacholski was his bride.
Before retiring in 1999, Gary had spent a total of 35 years in the workforce, all of which were spent working for PCA. Throughout his whole life, he was a member of the Manistee congregation of Trinity Lutheran Church and regularly attended services there. Gary looked forward with great anticipation to the times when he would be able to spend time in his workshop.
It brought him a great deal of pleasure to devise entertaining and one-of-a-kind presents for his loved ones, and he never failed to invest his entire being in each and every one of them. This accomplishment brought him a great deal of pride, and as a result, he was extremely content. Gary is survived by his wife Kathleen Block of Manistee, sons Gary Alan Block and Randy Block, both of Manistee, and Kelly and Randy Block, both of Kalamazoo, brothers Kevin (Peggy)
