Ed Muni Obituary, Death – After some time had gone, Darryl d’Aquin, who is Muniz’s son-in-law, issued a statement in which he said, “Our family’s hearts are broken by the passing of this magnificent guy, who always had a vision in whatever he accomplished.” Muniz was known for having a vision in all that he did. His love for radio, politics, and Mardi Gras pale in contrast to the love he had for his family and his wife of 58 years, Peggy.
His enthusiasm for all of these things will be greatly missed. His enthusiasm for each of these things is something that will be sorely missed. In 1966, Muniz established the parade group, which has now developed into a formidable force consisting of more than 3,100 riders donning masks. During his time as leader, the organization was involved in a number of different parades. His infectious passion for any and all of these pursuits will be sadly missed by everyone in his immediate environment. In an interview with Fox 8 that took place on Saturday, May 20, the leader of the Krewe of Endymion, Dan Kelly, disclosed that the previous mayor of Kenner, Ed Muniz, had gone away. Muniz was the one who initiated the creation of the Endymion and oversaw its development into the most successful Carnival organization in New Orleans. After a long and fruitful life, Muniz passed away at the age of 83.
