Thomas, who had spent her entire life in the city of Sevierville and had attained the age of 90 when she passed away on May 19, 2023, had spent her entire life in the city. She had lived in Sevierville her entire life. Her entire life had been spent in Sevierville, Tennessee. Her husband James Thomas, her son Larry Thomas, her daughter Reba Thomas, her brothers Coy, Ray, Winford, and AJ Green, and her sister Joyce Ballard all passed away before her. Her daughter Reba Thomas was the only one of her children to survive to adulthood.

Her only kid, a daughter named Reba Thomas, made it to maturity, making her the sole survivor of her brood. She gave birth to one child, a daughter named Reba Thomas, but she was the only one of her offspring to live to adulthood, hence she is the lone survivor of her brood. Her husband James Thomas, her son Larry Thomas, and her daughter Reba Thomas all predeceased her. Her parents, Adam and Dixie Green, her son, and her daughter all died before she did.
