Darrell Maddux Obituary, Death – Joseph Franklin Maddux and Emma Lou (Wells) Maddux welcomed their son Darrell Gregg Maddux into the world on October 22, 1962 in Weatherford, Oklahoma. At the age of sixty, Darrell passed away on May 18, 2023 in the city of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. 1980 was the year that he completed his high schooling at Lookeba-Sickles. He was a member of the Future Farmers of America, a State Farmer’s Award winner, a cattle show participant, and a basketball player.
Darrell obtained his Registered Nurse certification from the El Reno nursing school he attended. During the early stages of his professional life, he held a position as a surgical nurse at Bone & Joint and the Oklahoma Spine Hospital. During this time, he also gained experience working with a throat and cancer specialist. Darrell traveled quite a bit and spent a lot of time engaging in activities such as flying planes, scuba diving, and riding motorcycles.
His mother, Emma Lou Maddux, of Lookeba, Oklahoma, and his aunt, Georgia Wells, of Binger, Oklahoma, are among his survivors. Also among his survivors are his cousins, Lisa Bridgeforth and husband Chuck of Wanette, Oklahoma, Debbie Wright and husband Larry of Weatherford, Oklahoma, and Michelle Austin and husband Sherman of Apache, Oklahoma, as well as his cherished dog, Honey Belle, and a large number of other cousins, relatives, and friends. Willie and Mamie Wells, Alma and Evelyn Kamm, his grandfather and grandmother, his uncles Buddy Wells and Gene Wells, and his cousins Ric Wells and Brian Wells all passed away before Darrell. Darrell’s father, Joe Maddux, and his brother, Tarrell Maddux, also passed away before him.
