Daniel Graber Obituary, Death – At 7:34 p.m. on May 17, 2023, Officer Daniel Graber, who was 49 years old and lived in Pekin, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly. Officer Graber joined the Pekin Police Department on December 27, 1999, and at that time he administered his oath of office and took his position. The 17th of May, 2023 was the last day that he worked for the company. When Officer Graber departed from the police department, he had served with the agency for the whole 23 years.
Officer Graber spent his entire career working as a patrolman and was always delegated to the third shift at that time. Prior to that, Officer Graber was a member of the Pekin Police Auxiliary and contributed to the department in the capacity of a volunteer. Officer Graber was held in high esteem by not only the people who lived in his town but also by his fellow law enforcement officers. During the course of his 23 years of service, Officer Graber was awarded a total of four (4) letters of commendation for his outstanding work.
In three of these occurrences, it was important to avoid endangering people’s lives. One of them was for his aggressive policing and the arrests he made of people who were breaking into businesses. Another was for the arrests he made of individuals who were breaking into businesses. In 2003, the Pekin City Council honored Officer Graber for his participation in another event that resulted in the saving of a life by bestowing upon him a Certificate of Merit and presenting him with two (2) letters of recognition. Officer Graber was the recipient of the honor, which was bestowed upon him by Len Howard, who served as Mayor of Pekin at the time.
