Dale Gibson Obituary, Death – Landon Gibson, 15, from Athens, Ohio, passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 21, 2023, in Athens. He was a resident of Athens. Landon Shields Gibson was the son of Amy Shields and the late Dale Gibson. He was born on November 2, 2007, in Athens, Ohio. At the time, Landon was a first-year student at the Athens High School. He competed in track, football, basketball, and baseball throughout his time at the school.

On the 26th of May, at 11:00 in the morning, there will be graveside ceremonies held in Athens Memory Gardens. A lunch will be offered at the Athens American Legion Post 21 West Union Street in Athens after the graveside services that are scheduled to take place there. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brother Zayne Gibson, his paternal grandmother Rhonda Hill, his maternal grandparents Darrell Shields and Juanita Balch, and his maternal great grandmother Josie Shields; his aunt Jodi Gibson, as well as a number of other aunts, uncles, and cousins. In addition to his own father, he was preceded in death by his grandpa and uncle on his father’s side, Gordon Gibson and Sean Gibson.
