Chequita Smith Obituary, Death – It is with deep regret that we must inform you that Chequita Smith has died away. Myers, age 78, of Johnstown, passed away on December 31, 2022, surrounded by her devoted family members. She was the daughter of Ralph E. Smith and Edith (Morris) Smith, both of whom passed away before her birth on May 25, 1944 in Round Lake.

Leaving behind her devoted niece Glenda Gill, who is married to Bruce Gill, and her nephew Glenn Crowley, who is married to Lois Crowley, both of Fonda. Chickie is also survived by a large number of cousins, nieces, and nephews from various families. Throughout her life, Chickie was an active participant in the life of the United Methodist Church located in Fultonville. She worked for the Johnstown School District for a considerable amount of time as a Special Education Teacher.

She cherished the time she could spend with her loved ones, both human and animal, and she took great pleasure in caring for her many pets. On Friday, January 6, 2023, from 4 pm to 7 pm, guests of the family are welcome to stop by the Jackson & Betz Family Funeral Home located at 15 Main Street in Fultonville, New York 12072 to pay their respects to the deceased. On Saturday, January 7, 2022, at 11 am, funeral services will be held at the funeral home. Following the ceremonies, the burial will take place at the family plot at the Evergreen Cemetery.
