Carl Russell Obituary, Death – Carl Leroy Russell, who resided in Pana and passed away on May 20, 2023 at the age of 80, was able to spend his final days in the convenience and comfort of his own home before passing away. Carl’s desires will be carried out in full: he will be cremated, and his family will hold a memorial service at a later time. In the year 1942, he came into the world in the town of Tower Hill, Illinois. The date was June 26. Both of his parents, Fred and Edna (Severe), had already passed away before he was even born. They were both severe. At the wedding that took place on January 17, 1969 at Tower Hill, one of the attendees was a gentleman by the name of Elner F. Tipsword.
She passed away on September 14, 2019, one day before he did on September 13 of this year. Carl spent the majority of his life working in the agricultural sector of Christian County as a farmhand for a variety of local farms. He spent his entire life in this section of the county. Since 2007, he has been following the teachings of Jehovah’s Witnesses in a manner that is completely consistent with his life. Throughout his entire life, Carl was an ardent supporter of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team. He had tremendous delight in a number of activities, such as fishing, gardening, foraging for mushrooms in the woods, painting, and watching Bob Ross. He also enjoyed listening to Bob Ross.
Carl is survived by his children, John Russell of Pana, Serena (Joe) Merritt of Pana, and Peter Russell of Pana; his grandsons, Joseph Merritt and Kaitlyn Merritt; his great granddaughters, Alice Eckhart and Alaina Price; and his sister, Rose Marie Russell of Mount Vernon. Carl is also survived by his great granddaughters, Alice Eckhart and Alaina Price. In addition to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Carl is survived by his great-grandchildren Alice Eckhart and Alaina Price. Before he was even conceived, each of his siblings had already passed away: Eldon, Elsie, Rita, Imagene, Jason, Mason, Jenny, Opal, Virginia, and Shirley. None of his other siblings survived. He was the last surviving member of his family to pass away in this lifetime.
