Caleb Conley Obituary, Death – Caleb Conley, who was working as a deputy for the Scott County Sheriff’s Office at the time of his untimely death this afternoon, was a member of the department. The news of his passing came as a full and utter surprise. Conley did not move from his birthplace in Harrison County, which is in the state of Indiana for his entire life. He was shot while the officer was conducting a traffic stop, and the injuries that he incurred ultimately led to his passing away. He had been shot as the officer was doing a traffic stop. During the course of the traffic stop, the police opened fire and killed him.
