Bradley Hess Obituary, Death – My dearly loved father, Bradley James Hess, went to be with the Lord on May 20, 2023, and I am at a loss for words as I write this. He went to be with the Lord when he passed away. It is impossible to adequately describe the crushing burden of sorrow that has been placed on our family. A person who epitomized everything that is right and good in this world was my father. He was the exact definition of thoughtfulness and charity.
Not only did he lead by example, but he also demonstrated to us how to live our lives in a way that is pleasing to God, placing an emphasis on kindness, forgiveness, charity, and compassion at all times. When things were particularly difficult, he had an uncanny ability to cheer us up by instinctively knowing just the perfect things to do or say to mend our hurt. He was the unmovable pillar that kept our family unite, spreading love and care even to those who may not have reciprocated it or appeared to deserve it.
He was the rock that kept our family together. The death of such an incredibly good and extraordinary man has left us with a profound ache in our hearts. We take comfort in the knowledge that he is freed from the load of sorrow and pain, and that he has discovered healing, eternal peace, and joy. He was a source of unshakable love, direction, and strength in addition to being a provider for his family. Through his love, kindness, and knowledge, he had an impact on the lives of a countless number of individuals.
His passing has left a hole in our lives, one that we find difficult to fathom and find a way to fill, but he has also left behind a legacy that will be remembered by everyone whose life was altered by the presence he possessed. Since he was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer, Brad has been fighting the disease for two years, enduring severe chemotherapy, dealing with horrible and terrible side effects, undergoing operations, and more without ever complaining. He was admitted to the hospital on April 28th, 2022, just one day after the anniversary of our sister’s demise, and he remained there till the day he passed away. My father has always been committed to the idea that my sister and I and his other children should receive an education.
