Boomer Bill Obituary, Death – When we found out that “Boomer Bill,” one of our friends from WKGC Public Radio 90.7 FM in the Panhandle, had passed away, we were overcome with sorrow. DJ Boomer Bill worked at the radio station as a DJ. When we saw him, he was always laughing and cracking jokes, and he would provide us with interesting information about rock and roll every time we did. He came out as a kind and friendly individual who didn’t appear to have any rivals in his life at all.
He was a remarkable individual who will be greatly missed by everyone who had the opportunity to know and care for him. Boomer Bill will be honored in a special way on Tuesday morning at nine o’clock (Central Time), when WKGC will pay tribute to him by broadcasting a special show. You are able to tune your radio to the Panhandle station and listen to 90.7 FM no matter where in the world you are located as long as you have access to the internet and are able to tune your radio to the station.
It was never a secret that he had a genuine fondness for his job and the persons that composed his radio family on both sides of the speakers; in fact, he openly expressed this sentiment. This was one of the things that made him so beloved by his coworkers. During this trying time, we want to let his family and the WKGC radio family know that we are thinking about and praying for all of them.
