Bob Hendricks Obituary, Death – We are writing to share the news of the passing of Bob Hendricks, 66, a friend and colleague who worked out of our Paducah, Kentucky office. It is with deep regret that we make this announcement. Bob peacefully passed away on the 6th of May, 2023, while he was sleeping. Kathy, his wife of 27 years, his other family members, his colleagues, and many acquaintances are all in mourning at his passing. He was an active member of Masonic Lodge in Mayfield, Kentucky, and he cherished the time he spent outside camping with his devoted canine companion, Buddy. Bob was an early innovator in the sport of diving. During his time in the United States Navy, he was a rescue swimmer as well as a diver, rising through the ranks to become an Aviation Anti-Submarine Warfare Operator (AW1) Petty Officer 1st Class while serving on the USS Barry.

Bob launched his own scuba diving business in the year 1990. Bob started working as a Business Development Manager at Marine Solutions in the year 2016. He was a significant contributor to the expansion of our customer base in the Four Rivers area and throughout western Kentucky, particularly in northern Kentucky. Bob’s professional experience includes time spent on the board of the Association of Diving Contractors International (ADCI) and as the chairperson of the organization’s Midwest Chapter. He was the proud owner of ADCI dive card number 8, which he was always eager to show off to others. Bob acknowledged that his work was not always enjoyable, but he found that it was consistently gratifying.

I’ve gone to a lot of places, experienced a lot of different things, and communicated with a lot of wonderful individuals. It’s amazing to see how well the younger divers are doing and how much they’re contributing to the profession. For those of you who knew and loved Bob, you are aware that he never went anywhere without a companion. He never lacked for a story, and the most of them were told uncut! Bob, I want to thank you for sharing your memories and for helping pave the road to make the diving world safer and better for all divers. You will be missed, and I want to express my gratitude.
