Angela Owen Obituary, Death – It is with a heavy heart that we must inform you that Angela Owen (Ang), who had been ill for some time, died away on Tuesday, May 16th, 2023. A devoted wife and a wonderful mother to her children Ella and Freddie; a cherished daughter to her mother Eileen; a daughter-in-law; a sister; an aunt; a niece; a close friend; a colleague; and an educator. Georgia (13 years old) and Fred (11 years old), who were the loves of Angela’s life, lived with her in Duluth.
There, they enjoyed riding bikes, going to the beach and Canal Park, watching movies together, and playing with and snuggling with their cherished dog Suki. Georgia and Fred were Angela’s pride and joy. She particularly enjoyed spending time on Rainy Lake and Chase Lake, and just recently, she taught her children how to hunt deer together. She and her children learned about and came to love Jesus Christ while attending The Vineyard Church in Duluth, which was one of her favorite places to go.
She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend to many people, including her coworkers and friends. She had a great deal of affection for her grandmother, Irene (Forsythe) Peterson, as well as for her numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins on both the Dugas and the Karsnia sides of the family. Her maternal grandparents, Marie and Romeo Karsnia, as well as her paternal grandparents, Lionel Dugas and Leonard Peterson, all passed away before she was born. Angela is survived by her daughters Georgia and Fred, her parents Randy and Kay Dugas, her brother Marc (Kim) Dugas, and her niece Charlotte Dugas, as well as her nephews Andrew, Samuel, and James Dugas, and Carter Roy Owen. She leaves behind a large number of dear friends, including Jenna Pavleck, John Sandy, and Michael Owen, among many others.
