Althia Powell Obituary, Death -\ On the occasion of the passing away of Althia (Althea)Marice Powell on May 14th, 2023, the family of Althia (Althea)Marice Powell would like to extend their sympathies to friends and acquaintances of Althia (Althea)Marice Powell. The only people who are still alive to mourn her passing are those who were close to her throughout her entire life, such as members of her family and the many friends who had known her for her entire life.
On the 26th of May, 2023, at 3:30 in the afternoon, a memorial ceremony will be place at the John Gray Memorial Church in West Bay, which is located at 24 W. Church Street. There has been no decision made regarding the timing or date of the memorial service. On May 25th, 2023, the viewing will begin at 3:30 in the afternoon at the Bodden Funeral Home, which can be found in George Town at 117 Walkers Road. The date and location of the viewing are subject to change. The 25th of May has been set as the day for the screening.
After much deliberation and finally reaching a consensus, it was decided that the burial would take place at the West Bay Cemetery. As a sign of solidarity during this difficult time, the Jasmine is collecting money in place of flowers as a way of expression. The realization of this destroys every part of my being. Before I ever had the opportunity to speak with her, I had the sense that she had already passed on from this world.
I was wrong. During the period that she worked at Comart, I had the opportunity to get to know her very well; but, after she retired, I was unable to find her anyplace. After she left her job at Comart, I had the chance to get to know her pretty well. I was completely clueless about her location. I make it a point to pray every day that her luminous soul is finally able to find the peace it deserves for all of eternity.
