Allan Slade Obituary, Death – On this particular day, the flags that are displayed over our Firefighter memorial will be lowered to the half-staff position. The tragic news that Honorary Firefighter Allan Slade has passed away has left each and every one of us with a profound sense of loss. He lived in Victoria, British Columbia, for a significant portion of his adult life, and he devoted a considerable portion of his life to serving the community there as a volunteer firefighter.
He was dedicated to defending the residents and communities of Victoria. Even after he stopped working actively, he continued to be a part of our group for retired firefighters even though he was no longer employed. This was the situation in spite of the fact that he had finished his active job at this point. He made it a point to always volunteer to notify the other retired members of the department about future activities, taking great care to involve everyone in the process and not leave anyone out.
He made it a point to always offer to notify the other retired members of the department about future activities. We regard it as an honor that his family has asked us to provide a fireman honor guard at the funeral of a member of their family, and we will do everything in our power to comply with their request. Now that all of your alarms have been silenced, Brother, you may get some much-needed rest. You are free to turn off the last one. We shall see to it that nothing further needs to be done from this point forward.
