According to the announcement made by the Pennsylvania State Police on Monday, May 22, 2023, a man from Maryland who is 26 years old has been detained in connection with a shooting that resulted in the death of a 23-year-old male from Shrewsbury and the injury of a 38-year-old woman from New Freedom. According to the Pennsylvania State Police, witnesses were able to identify Zachary Tyler Piccolo, of Nottingham, and he was subsequently apprehended as a result of a combined effort by the Pennsylvania State Police York and the Baltimore County Police Department Precinct 9 (White Marsh) Homicide Unit and the Tactical Section.
